At a very young age Arpita was diagnosed with cancer, from there her life ceased to be that of other young girls… during the time of her medical interventions, which no one could share her physical pain. But was she tied down by her condition?
Each painting of Flight provides an answer. In many paintings Arpita painted the swan with a woman. ‘The Great Swan’, as it symbolises of one who swims in the waters of the material world but whose feathers are not polluted by any sort of impurity.
